PLM Europe News
The European user conference for Siemens Software users goes back to 1981 where the Unigraphics User meeting was first organized together with McAuto. From then on, each year the user meeting took place. In the beginning, organized by different customers like Phillips, FAG, 3M etc. In 1990 the European User committee was founded and from now on the user Meeting was organized by the committee. Only customers/users were member of the committee – coming from different countries in Europe.
During the years the event grew and changed more and more from a pure Unigraphics user meeting into an event covering multiple applications. iMAN was added, Unigraphics became NX, iMAN became Teamcenter, Tecnomatix was added, Simulation, Mentor Graphics, Polarion ALM, etc.
Siemens PLM Software has undergone a substantial business transformation with various acquisitions that have extended the company’s solution coverage beyond the traditional PLM domain. The end goal is to provide customers with a holistic platform for digital innovation across the lifecycle, as well as, the enterprise. Siemens’ ability to harness many resources led to the decision of conducting the annual user events as from the 2020 conference.
The commitment to the user community remains unchanged as PLM Europe and Siemens PLM Software transition the event at the end of this year’s event in Berlin as it will be the last event organized by the PLM Europe User Group e.V. After this year event PLM Europe User Group will be dissolved.
We are confident that the transition will be successful and if you have questions or concerns please email me at Maarten.email@example.com or Karla.Kluth@plm-europe.org
We are looking forward to see you in Berlin October 7th !
